Will paint correction damage my paint or wear through the clear coat? Not when done correctly. Modern factory clear coats are typically **40–60 microns thick**. A proper Stage 2 correction removes only 2–5 microns. We measure paint thickness with a gauge before correcting and stay well within safe limits.
